ABOUT DIY GLOW

Creativity with color.
Crafts with a little magic.

DIY Glow is a craft blog about colorful, glowing, and science-inspired projects—the sparkling crystals, rainbow creations, and glowing decorations that make everyday moments feel a little more magical.

I’m Emily Carter, the founder behind DIY Glow. As a former science teacher, I created this space to turn ordinary household materials into colorful, creative projects that anyone can recreate at home.

WHY THIS SITE EXISTS

Where curiosity becomes creativity

Some projects are fun for an afternoon. Others spark a lifelong love of making things. There’s something special about watching ordinary materials transform—crystals forming along a pipe cleaner, colors swirling together, or sunlight catching a homemade suncatcher.

DIY Glow grew from that sense of wonder. The heart of the site isn’t about complicated techniques or chasing perfection. It’s about sharing colorful projects clearly, explaining the little details that make a difference, and giving you plenty of room to experiment.

Here you’ll find crystal crafts, rainbow creations, glowing decorations, suncatchers, glitter crafts, mason jar projects, sensory activities, and simple science-inspired DIYs designed to help you spend less time wondering what to make and more time creating something beautiful.

THE PERSON BEHIND DIY GLOW

Hi, I’m Emily Carter.

I’m the founder and creative designer behind DIY Glow. My role is to take simple household materials and a little bit of science and shape them into colorful, creative projects that are easy to understand and fun to make at home.

I believe a good project should do more than list materials. It should help you understand what matters, where you can be flexible, what to look for as you create, and how to make the project your own.

My goal is simple: when you arrive here looking for something to make, I want you to leave feeling confident, inspired, and glad you stopped by.

FROM OUR STUDIO TO YOURS

How we think about projects

01

Start with something worth making

A colorful idea, a fun experiment, a seasonal decoration, or a project that answers the question “what can we make today?”

02

Explain the parts that matter

We focus on the little details that help you move through a project with less uncertainty and more confidence.

03

Test every project first

We try each project before it’s published to make sure the steps are clear, safe, and easy to follow for beginners.

04

Make it easy to ask questions

Crafting is personal. If something is unclear, we want you to reach us and tell us what would make the project more helpful.
